When boys are younger and are able to talk, they start to dream about what car they would want to have. They learn all sorts of things such as; their engines, top speeds, performance specifications, designs and much more.

It is one of the most fascinating subjects to them and they continue this interest for the rest of their lives. Not all men love to talk about cars but it is hard to find ones who are not the least bit interested in them.

Some guys are so interested in cars that they become mechanics so they can work on them all day. Others who are just mildly into it may buy an old clunker so they can work on it every once in a while to fix it up for fun.

While most people will never be able to afford their dream car, it is still fun to learn about those cars and look at pictures. One of the most expensive kinds is called the Bugatti Veyron and is priced at about one million and seven hundred thousand dollars.

It has a W-16 engine that can produce one thousand and one horsepower. Many of you may have little clunkers that you hate to take on the freeway because they do not accelerate very fast which makes merging with the traffic very hard to do.

Some of the smaller and older cars can only get up to about forty miles an hour by the time they are in the right lane of the freeway. Never mind that you should be going at least the freeway speed which is usually anywhere from sixty-five to seventy-five miles per hour.

If you are not going with the speed of traffic when you merge onto the freeway, then you can cause an accident. Some people think that the speed limit means that any number under the limit is good enough.

As long as you are not going over the speed limit, then you are good to go. But this is not true.

There is also a minimum speed limit that should be posted on every freeway. Because it is almost just as dangerous to be going so much slower than everyone else as it is to be going faster than everyone else.

The Bugatti Veyron can go from zero miles per hour to sixty miles per hour in just three seconds. And not that you should try this except maybe on a real car race track, but this car can also go from zero miles per hour to one hundred and eighty miles per hour in just eighteen seconds.

With this car, the engine came before the design for it did. They built this car around a one thousand horsepower engine and figured it out from there.

Having this much horsepower means that you need enough gasoline to burn so you can generate the horsepower. That means that you would burn about one point thirty-three gallons per minute.

Who wants to pay to gas this car up every day? Assuming that you can actually afford the car, then you can probably afford the gas and everything else that goes along with it including those speeding tickets that you are bound to get.

To make this car work, they created a compact engine with turbo charging that would allow for a big enough cylinder for that much gasoline and air. The turbo pressurizes the air that comes into the cylinder so that it can hold more air.

So if you put twice as much air in each cylinder, you can burn twice the amount of gasoline. This allows you to fit a smaller sized engine in the car (like cutting back the size from sixteen liters down to a more manageable eight liters).

If you are going to spend the money on the fastest production car in the world that was designed and developed by the German Volkswagen Group, then you should be prepared to take care of it as well. Make sure you put money into it to keep it clean with regular window washings and keeping it looking shiny, nice, and new.
