Got A Spare 30 Minutes? Let's Take A Look At How You Can Save Yourself A Fortune

One of the reasons why people pay over the odds for the services that they have in their home isn't because they believe what they're paying is the norm or they feel that as they can afford it, they don't need to change it, but it's often due to the fact that they believe it will take hours to arrange even just one new service.

And it's understandable for people to think this, especially when you think back to how long it first took you to set everything up in your home or if you've had a particularly bad experience with a service provider.

The truth is, however, that if you've got 30 minutes to spare, you could find a cheaper alternative to two or three of your regular services and get the ball rolling with a selection of others - and the following points show you exactly how to do it.

1. Spend the first five minutes of your half hour getting together the three latest bills of the services that you want to change, logging onto your computer and opening the internet up. You'll need nothing else but the latest bill of the specific service and the internet, although a printer can come in useful if you'd prefer to have a print out of the policy documents should you change providers.

2. Choosing one bill, such as your gas bill, head to a search engine and type in something like 'gas comparison websites' or 'utility comparison websites' and open up a handful of different websites that are displayed (the reason you don't simply select one is that you can ensure you cover as many different providers as possible if you carry out the process on a selection of comparison websites).

3. The details on each website will all be very similar, so make sure you input the correct details on a like-for-like basis so you can get the best comparison of services across the board and most importantly of all, when it asks for how much (in this instance) gas you use, give the details exactly as they are on your latest bill.

4. Once you've completed your details, click the search button and within a matter of seconds you'll be presented with a list of providers for that service who offer it in your area, along with their lowest price based on the details you provided.

5. If you can see a quote that's cheaper than what you're paying now, find out more information about it and if it looks like you could be better off, simply follow the instructions to change instantly.

And it really is as quick and simple as that, thanks largely to the creation and development of comparison websites which are available for almost every household bill.

Changing everything from your gas and electricity to your homephone needn't take an age and if you can put aside just 30 minutes a day for one week, you'll be able to ensure that you've got the cheapest possible deals for all of the services you require.
