Aside from that they can make her overall look stylish and posh , they will also protect her from colds as she wanders through the mountains. Scarves can also be a good replacement for hats or caps. Rain or shine, her stylish scarf will be useful in her journey.
No girls no matter how they appear as boyish would want to look ugly anyway even they are in the middle of adventurous activity. It is just part of being a girl and that has to be carried 'till she grows older.
