This most likely sounds trite but it is true: staying positive and telling yourself "I can do this" is usually what helps you succeed and achieve the goals you have set for yourself. It is not really unlike how, in telemarketing, people are told to really smile while they talk because people can hear the smile. When you imagine "I'm great at what I do," "I will get this done" and "I will meet all of my goals today" that frame of mind will infuse your work, customers will pick up on it and then they will think the same things about you.
You may be thinking that the whole "it is vital to have a good attitude" thing is trite and best left to daytime talk shows, but it is still true that most success is found by people who have a good attitude. People who assume "I want money to find me" do not make a great deal of money at all but those who think "I am going to make money today" find high levels of success!
