A sealed lead-acid battery is used frequently in the medical field. They are large and rather bulky but they work well for machinery that is there as an emergency in case the conditions worsen for a patient and the machine is needed immediately. They work well for random spurts of high current energy. If the need was for a more constant flow of high load energy then this type of battery would not be the right choice.

Your specific needs for the battery that you select will determine which type is best for you. You should consider the temperature you will be storing and operating it at and also which type of current flow you need in order to make your operation successful.

Once you understand which battery types work well in the different areas you will be much more prepared to make a good decision. You want to find the battery that will be long lasting and effective and once you have a good understanding of what the differences are between the batteries you are sure to find the perfect fit.
