Your home kitchen can attract numerous different types of germs and bacteria and you should always try to keep it looking nice and clean to ensure that these germs and bacteria won't grow and colonize in your kitchen. There are many places in your kitchen where bacteria can colonize and grow. Obviously this can be a very bad thing since all your food will be stored here. For this reason, you should try to create and stick to a daily or weekly kitchen cleaning routine that can be easily followed through to help you keep your kitchen looking nice and ready for the next time that you need it to prepare a meal. When creating your kitchen cleaning task list, there are several things that must be included and they are covered below.

The counter tops in your kitchen will most likely harbor the most bacteria life. Because your counter top has plenty of surface area, airborne germs and bacteria can easily grow and develop. This is a place where you'll be constantly placing your foods on, so therefore it is essential to keep it as clean as you can in order to avoid any bacterial contamination to your food. The best way to clean your kitchen counter top is to use either an all-purpose cleaner with bleach built into it, or select a cleaning spray that is made for your particular counter top material. If you wish to save some money you can also just simply use hot water and soap to wipe down the counter top. Just be sure to keep the water hot when wiping down the counter top otherwise the bacterias and germs on the surface won't be killed.

Your kitchen cleaning routine should always include moping as this not only helps to keep your feet and socks clean when you're moving around the kitchen, but it'll also help eliminate any potential microorganism and other bacteria that might be dwelling in the crevices of the kitchen flooring. Be sure to use hot water with the right moping detergent in order to lift up any dirt that's stuck in the floor. There are steam mops out there that you can buy and they work very well. They'll allow you to get the job done much quicker.

The next thing to clean out would be your kitchen cabinets. When cleaning your cabinets, your primary focus should be on the outside of the cabinetry. This is where all the dirt and dust will settle on and build up. You can use a wood protector and shiner on your kitchen cabinetry to give a fresh and renewed look.

The last thing that you should include in your kitchen cleaning routine is to clean your kitchen appliances. Be sure to clean the oven, microwaves, and toaster. These are the places where you store and cook your food, so make sure that they are cleaned. For ovens and other appliances that has lots of grease and oil stuck on, you should use a degrease. Some oven may have baked on grease that have been there for a long time and might be hard to scrape off. For this situation, you can try to turn your oven on and leave it running for about 20 minutes. Once the oven has finished burning off the baked on grease and oil residue, it will become much easier to wipe them out with a wet towel or cloth.

We have just covered several major things that you should include in your regular kitchen cleaning schedule. Be sure to stick to your cleaning schedule so that you can have a clean and beautiful looking kitchen.
