The shape of one's hair is determined by the shape of the hair follicle and the hair shaft. Some individuals have straight hair, some are gifted with soft waves and some have curly hair. Let's face it, things like these help to make people different. We all have different hair types just like any other thing on our bodies. There comes a time when we need a change in our look and specifically our hairstyles. It is only automatic for females specially to want to change their hairstyle. For females who are not gifted with curly hair, it is hard to get those little curls in the hair that they want so badly. They go to extremities to achieve curly hair sometimes with accomplishment, at other times its nothing but a waste of time. Here are some procedures of acquiring curly hair:

1.Using Rollers
Materials: - Rollers
Mousse
Tools: - Blow Dryer
Comb

Instructions:

After washing your hair blow dry in sections combing the hair throughout the procedure. Blow dry until most of the water in the hair has been eliminated. Do not excessively dry.

Pour mousse in the palm of your hands and rub into your hair. Comb through for equal distribution.

Divide the hair in small portions. Pick the size rollers that you desire based on the kind of curls you desire. Small rollers will give you tight curls while larger rollers will create soft, bouncy curls.

Roll each small portion on a roller all the way to roots and snap on the cover. Continue until all the hair has been wrapped on rollers. Leave overnight or sit under a dryer until dry.

Tips: There are various kinds of rollers you my use to curl your hair. There are hot rollers that can be used on dry hair or wet hair. They work faster and are less time consuming. There are also foam rollers that are very user friendly and most significantly, they are quite comfortable to sleep in if you wear your rollers overnight. There are also flexible rollers that can bend at any position. These create curls that are small and tight.

2.Using a Curling Iron
Materials: - Holding Spray
Tail comb
Mousse
Clips
Tools: - Blow Dryer
Curling iron

Instruction:

Apply mousse to the hair and massage for equal distribution.

Use tail comb to separate small sections and spray with holding spray. Use clips to hold the other portions away from the part you are working on. Wind the small portion around the curling iron all the way to the root.

Hold the curling iron on the hair for a while then unwrap it.

Continue until all the hair has been curled. Spray with holding spray and your curly style is done!

Tip: When using a curling iron be careful not to hold it too close to the skin or enable it to touch the skin as it will lead to burns.

3.Using a Flat Iron - this might sound somewhat strange but a flat iron can create great curls

Materials: - Mousse
Holding spray

Tools: - Flat iron (preferably| a slim one like one and a half inches.)
Comb

Directions:

Squeeze mousse in your hand and massage in your hair.

Use comb to part a small portion of hair and clamp halfway with the flat iron.

Turn the flat iron one and a half times in the direction of your choice to curl the hair.

Draw the flat iron through the hair while still clamped on the hair and release the curl.

Spray with holding spray for longer hold and shine.
