Although there is the extra inconvenience of having to connect it to your plumbing system at the beginning, the fact that it can dispose of the waste and maintain its own cleanliness will save you far more time down the road. Do keep in mind though that the Cat Genie does utilize a sani-solution for self-cleaning, and this will have to be acquired and replaced on a consistent basis.
