The orientation of the body to receive, correlate and express the life forces of energy is called the chakra system. It is a word derived from Sanskrit terminology which means the aural energy sphere of a human or a continual spinning of a wheel.
Traditional Hindu scriptures depict the presence of more than 88,000 chakra points in the human body. Out of these chakras, the seven chakras located from the base of the spinal column to the crown of the head form the essential core.
The thousands of chakras fall into these 7 major points which consist of: the stomach or solar plexus chakra, the 3rd eye or brow chakra, the heart chakra, sex or navel chakra, the throat chakra, the base chakra and the crown chakra. All of these areas take the energy for your surrounding and transfer it to your body. Some people have said that they can notice a difference in such things as their emotional state as well as psychological aspects and they are stimulated both intellectually and spiritually.

Of the main reasons a person may see an imbalance in their chakra, is emotional baggage that they have held on to since childhood. The chakra of our crown is the spiritual and emotional center and needs detoxification. You can detoxify your body by fasting or using herbs.
