Since people all around the world are out of work, many individuals are beginning to think about starting their own small business. They want to do something they enjoy instead of doing a job they only tolerate. When someone is able to do what they love or what makes them happy, and can make a living off it, then life is good.

All companies, big and small, start with small business ideas and work from the ideas up through the planning, obtaining the funds and then putting the plan to work. This is the basic business plan for any and all companies. Whether a person wants to open a unique health food restaurant or a dog grooming saloon, they need to start with a business plan in order to receive the capital from the bank to start their new company.

Besides the bank, there are other places people could obtain funding for their petite company. There is the small company administration that is a US nationwide corporation that helps small companies get off the ground. There is also company help through many of the colleges and university extension divisions that work closely with people who want to open a new, smaller company, typically under 35 employees.

Another place to check for funding ideas would be in a small business blog. Bloggers that have gone through what someone is trying to go through could be a lot of help. They have done the research and know where loans for companies of a certain size are to be found. If someone has already done the 'leg work', why would someone want to do it again? An individual who wants to begin their own company of fewer than ten or so employees may want to look at several different business blog posts to compare ideas about funding.

Starting a company that only has a few employees might be tougher than starting a larger corporation for several reasons. Finding employees, even in this climate of high unemployment, might be difficult because people want benefits and a smaller company can not always offer benefits such as health insurance or paid vacation and sick days. Also, being able to stay afloat in this economic climate the first year is very difficult, it does not matter what type of company one is opening because no one is purchasing items, even some essentials.

The Internet is filled with various websites devoted to U. S. And International startup help groups that offer free advice on where to obtain everything for a new company from the money to the building to the employees to the stationary. With these companies, some of them may want a startup company to purchase something, so beware and there is always free advice on the blogs and other places. It is not necessary to purchase something in order to learn how to obtain money for a new business.

The reference librarian at the public library may also be able to point a new company owner in the right direction for several different resources. Many of these resources are from government agencies that want to see these new companies succeed. They publish as much free info as possible because if a new business opens up, that means more people are working and shopping and spending money. This also means that the economy is bouncing back.

A small business could flourish with the proper planning and the correct steps to make a company a success. Opening a new business in this economy is a scary prospect, however, there are people who have done it and could help an individual through the process. Opening a new business with a certain amount of employees will help everyone, the employees, the economy and the future business owner.
