Now that any fears or concerns should be put to rest, it is time to take a look at a few different astral projection techniques that are fairly easy and have been successful for a lot of people. There are seven main steps to this astral projection technique:-
* You must relax your body and your mind. There are numerous relaxation techniques that you can use. A simple one is just deep breathing, slowly and calmly. Deep inhales and deep exhales. Relaxing all the muscles in the body one at a time by tensing them and then releasing them, starting at the toes and working your way up the body.
* Next go into what is called the hynagogic state. When the body and mine are just on the edge of falling into sleep. Don't go to sleep though! This is where you can utilize the gazing method. Start by focusing on particular item while laying on the bed, and keep looking at this item long enough that when you close your eyes that you can still visualize the item.
* Then once you are able to accomplish seeing the item with your eyes shut you have to go deeper into the state you are in. To accomplish this stage just close your eyes and start looking around to view what you can visualize. There is a possibility of you seeing a variety of light patterns, you could by chance notice a purple light cloaking the room. Do not spend too much attention to this, when you quit viewing this light you will have found that you have entered a state that is deeper. At this point you are so thoroughly relaxed that you have become unaware of your body physically. This part of the process is very crucial in the astral projection technique.
* Now you need to get into the state of Vibration. Many of the people who have practiced astral projection techniques for sometime note the feeling of these vibrations are early in the projection. It is also believed by these people this is the feeling experienced when the astral body starts leaving the physical body. Not to be alarmed, feel the vibrations.
* Next you will start to control the vibrations that you feel. Focus on them and see how they feel as they travel through your body, Visualize them as waves that wash through you, and concentrate on how they feel. Practice this until you can always feel the vibrations and so that you can create them when you want to. These waves are what you will use to travel.
* The key element to any astral projection or travel is control, your mind has to be the one in power. While having your mind concentrating on the thought of leaving your physical body, first let your foot or hand go of your astral body. Reach them out to and object close to you, as in the floor, the wall, or other object that is familiar, then reach your foot or hand through the object. Then bring your hand or foot back to your physical body,make the vibrations slow down, and stop the session. Keep laying down and let your body fully return to an awake state.
* At this stage, you are ready to leave the body entirely. Start by repeating steps one through six until you feel comfortable, and then, when you are ready, move completely into your astral body. You will find that this can feel a little strange and that you might need some visualization to get you started. Think about how you can release your body and how it feels so light. Think about how wind can blow it here and there and how weightless you are. You may feel as though you are flying or floating.
Some other techniques that you might want to investigate include the Gazing Method, the Rope Technique and the Anchor Technique. Take a look at each of these and see how they judge for you. When you are looking for astral projection techniques, remember that you are looking for the one that will really work for you.
You should, however, be aware that astral projection is not for everyone and to use and become familiar with the seven techniques of astral projection takes and requires a lot of practice.
