How Many Backlinks Should I Build A Day?

I see new internet marketers ask this question a lot. Or other similar questions such as

Will Google penalize me if I start building backlinks right away?

Is it true I should only build 10-20 backlinks a day?

How many backlinks a day are too many?

Can I get banned by Google for building too many backlinks?

I hate when I see "experienced" marketers telling people they should only build 10 backlinks to their website a day. Are they crazy? Let's say you are in just a mildly competitive niche. The top site in the Google SERPs is showing 3000 backlinks. You are going to try to build 10 a day and beat them? Good luck.

Now, I will say there is something to be said for the quality of backlinks versus the quantity of backlinks. In other words, just because you build 3001 backlinks, does not ensure that you will supplant the site with 3000 backlinks in the SERPS.

If you are in a heavier niche, it will probably take you a few years of building 10 backlinks a day to sniff the top 3 spots. My patience only goes so far.

Here is my problem with this whole myth about building too many backlinks. So called "experienced" marketers will spew forth this ridiculous BS telling you that if you build too many backlinks or build them too fast, Google will reach its mighty hand down from the sky and smite you down.

That is simply not true. I'm not even going to argue against it though. Let's take the opposite approach. What if it were true? Could you imagine the SEO and IM world if this were indeed fact? Instead of going to forums and seeing WSO's for buying backlink packs to your websites, people would be selling offers to build thousands and thousands of backlinks to your competitor's sites to get them shoved into the mythical Google penalty box. People would be threatening each other. "Piss me off, and I'll send 5000 backlinks your way!"

Instead of members of message forums having links in their signatures pointing to their sites, they would point them at their competition. And you think there are a lot of spam posts now? Spam posts would increase by a factor of 10.

It is simply a ridiculous argument to believe that you will get penalized for building too many backlinks... within reason. What I mean by that, is if you put up a new website yesterday and within 24 hours it is showing 65,000 backlinks, that is probably going to raise a few red flags for someone to take a closer look at your site and manually make a decision on it.

So, I say build away. Start right away and don't stop.

You can have the nicest looking website in the world (something this site is obviously not suffering from), but if nobody ever sees it, that won't make a bit of difference. Go get 5 backlinks right now before you finish that next beer.
Author Resource:- One popular technique for building backlinks that has been around for awhile and people continue to see great success from is the building of link wheels and Web 2.0 sites. Creating a link wheel with several Web 2.0 sites can be a tedious process. However, you can use a tool like SEnuke to speed up the process, or you can use a less expensive but just as effective SEnuke Alternative. SEO Link Robot is a great Backlink Automation Tool and alternaive to the high cost of SEnuke.
